Terms of use

The website is operated by MVP (Mega Volume Production, 十方众声), and which entity these terms are with depends on where you are:

• in mainland China: 北京十方众声传媒有限公司;
• in any other country or region: Mega Volume Production Inc., 2225 Sheppard Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

In these terms, “MVP”, “we” and “us” mean the entity these terms are with.

No. The content of the MVP website introduces MVP and the way it works; it is not an offer, and it is not a commitment to work with you or to work on any particular terms. Any engagement is governed by a separate written contract between the two sides, and its scope, terms, duration, governing law and dispute resolution are those set out in that contract.

• Submitting an application does not create an engagement or any other legal relationship between you and MVP; whether to work together is for both sides to decide.
• Articles, glossary entries and answers on the website are general information, not legal, tax, financial or other professional advice. For a specific situation, consult a qualified professional.

The text, images, logos, layout and other content of the website belong to MVP or to their respective owners, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Without MVP’s written permission, the names and logos of 十方众声 and MVP may not be used in any way that could suggest a connection with MVP or its endorsement.

The following uses are allowed free of charge, without asking:

• viewing, printing or saving pages for your own reference;
• sharing links to pages;
• quoting short passages, credited to MVP with a link to the original page;
• access and use of the content by search engines and AI services under the rules in the website’s robots.txt.

Any other use, such as copying, adapting or commercial use, needs MVP’s prior written permission.

When using the MVP website, you must not:

1. break any law or regulation, or infringe anyone’s lawful rights;
2. give false information in an application or email, or submit someone else’s personal information without their authorization;
3. pretend to be MVP or its staff, or claim a relationship with MVP that does not exist;
4. spread viruses or malicious code, try to gain unauthorized access to the website or its systems, or get around or break its security measures;
5. access the website by automated means beyond the rules in its robots.txt, or at a rate far beyond normal use, in a way that affects how it runs;
6. use the application form or email address to send advertising or other bulk messages unrelated to working with MVP.

If you break these rules, MVP may take reasonable steps, including no longer processing the application concerned, restricting access and taking legal action.

Third-party links on the website are the responsibility of the third parties that run those websites. The website may link to third-party websites such as social media platforms and sources cited in articles; MVP does not control them and is not responsible for their content, services or privacy practices, and a link does not mean MVP endorses their content. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you visit them.

MVP works to keep the information on the website accurate and up to date, but does not guarantee that it is complete, free of errors or current at all times.

• The website is provided as it is. MVP may update, change, suspend or discontinue all or part of it at any time, and does not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or errors.
• Laws and industry figures change; references on a page stand as of the update date shown on that page.

The website is free and its content is for general reference only. To the extent the law allows, MVP is not liable for losses caused by decisions made in reliance on general information on the website, or by interruptions or errors on the website.

This limit does not apply to losses caused by MVP’s intentional misconduct or gross negligence. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or affects your rights as a consumer under the law.

The law that applies depends on where you are:

• in mainland China: the laws of the People’s Republic of China (excluding the laws of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), with disputes decided by a competent people’s court;
• in any other country or region: the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, with disputes decided by the competent courts of Ontario.

If a dispute arises, both sides will try to settle it through good-faith discussion before going to court. Protections under the law where you live that cannot be excluded by agreement are not affected by these terms. The governing law and dispute resolution for an engagement are those set out in its contract.

Yes, they may. MVP may update these terms, and will publish the updated version on this page and change the update date shown here. If you keep using the website after an update, the updated terms apply to that use; an update does not affect anything that happened before it.

• If any part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
• These terms are published in Chinese and English. If the two versions differ, the Chinese version prevails for users in mainland China, and the English version for users in any other country or region.
