Privacy policy
MVP (十方众声) uses application data only to assess a potential engagement and reply, and never sells it. This policy covers collection, transfers and your rights.
This policy explains how MVP (Mega Volume Production, 十方众声) handles your personal information when you visit its website, www.mvpdata.net, apply through the website or email MVP. Passages that bear directly on your rights, such as the transfer of information outside mainland China, are in bold. The policy does not cover third-party websites linked from this site.
Who is responsible for your personal information?
MVP operates through two legal entities, and the one responsible for your personal information is the one that would sign an engagement with you, depending on where the business is:
- 北京十方众声传媒有限公司 is responsible for applications and correspondence about business in mainland China.
- Mega Volume Production Inc., 2225 Sheppard Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is responsible for applications and correspondence about business elsewhere.
For the technical information generated when you visit the website (see What information does MVP collect?), 北京十方众声传媒有限公司 is responsible if you visit from mainland China, and Mega Volume Production Inc. if you visit from any other country or region.
Both entities can be reached at info@mvpdata.net. In this policy, “MVP”, “we” and “us” mean the entity responsible for your information.
MVP handles your information under the privacy laws that apply, including China’s Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you are in mainland China, MVP handles your information as PIPL requires, whichever entity is responsible.
What information does MVP collect?
MVP collects personal information from three sources, limited to what the purposes described below require:
- The application form: your name (a code name is fine); who you are (the talent, an agent or team, a company or brand, or other); which describes you (the kind of talent, or what a brand wants to do: go overseas, enter China or work with creators); the support you are looking for (including social media ads and press releases or media relations); your main platforms and accounts (optional); anything else you add (optional); how to reach you (phone, WeChat or email); and the language version of the website you used.
- Email: the emails you send to info@mvpdata.net, including your email address and what you write.
- Technical information from your visits: when the website’s hosting provider delivers pages to you, it processes technical information such as your IP address, your browser type and the pages you request. The website uses no analytics or advertising cookies and no analytics or advertising tracking tools (see Does the website use cookies or analytics tools?).
Please don’t include identity documents, original contracts, account back-end data, health information, financial account details or other sensitive personal information in an application or email. MVP does not need them to assess an engagement.
If you apply on someone else’s behalf, for example the talent you represent, get their consent before you apply and share only what the assessment needs.
How does MVP use it?
MVP uses the information in an application only to assess whether an engagement is possible and to reply to you through the contact details you gave, and the information in an email only to reply to you and deal with what you ask. None of it is used for marketing or any other purpose.
- MVP handles application information on the basis of the consent you give in the form; transferring it outside mainland China also requires your separate consent (see Is your information transferred outside mainland China?).
- The technical information from your visits is used only to deliver the website to you and to keep it secure and running; MVP does not use it to count visitors, analyze your behavior or target advertising.
- MVP does not sell your personal information.
- If MVP needs to use your information for a purpose this policy does not describe, it will tell you beforehand and ask for your consent again.
Who does MVP share it with?
MVP does not give your personal information to third parties, with two exceptions:
- Service providers: the providers of MVP’s website hosting and email hosting process your information on MVP’s behalf, to the extent their services require (named, with their contact details, under Is your information transferred outside mainland China?).
- Legal requirements: when a law or regulation requires it, or a competent authority lawfully requests it.
Is your information transferred outside mainland China?
Yes. MVP’s website and email are hosted on servers outside mainland China, so when you apply or send an email from mainland China, your information is transferred outside mainland China to be stored and processed there. Before you apply, the form asks for your separate consent to this transfer; without it, the form cannot be submitted.
- Recipients outside mainland China: for applications about business outside mainland China, Mega Volume Production Inc. (address above; contact: info@mvpdata.net); and the providers of MVP’s website hosting, Vercel Inc. (United States; contact: privacy@vercel.com), and email hosting, Hostinger (contact: gdpr@hostinger.com).
- Purpose: storing and delivering your application and emails so that MVP can assess a potential engagement and reply to you.
- Method: the application is submitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), sent by email to the small number of people who assess applications, and stored on email servers outside mainland China.
- Information: everything in the application form and your emails (listed under What information does MVP collect?).
- How to exercise your rights: email info@mvpdata.net to exercise any of the rights in this policy against MVP or the recipients above.
When you visit the website from mainland China, the technical information needed to deliver its pages, such as your IP address, is also processed by the hosting provider outside mainland China.
If you are outside mainland China, your information may also be processed outside your own country or region, where it may be subject to local laws, including lawful access by courts, law enforcement and national security authorities there.
Does the website use cookies or analytics tools?
No. The MVP website uses no analytics or advertising cookies, and no analytics or advertising tracking tools such as Google Analytics or Google Ads conversion tracking; browsing the website or submitting an application places no analytics or advertising cookies in your browser.
If MVP ever needs such tools, it will update this policy first and ask for your consent before using them.
How long does MVP keep it?
MVP keeps personal information only for as long as its purpose requires:
- Applications and related emails: until the assessment of a potential engagement ends. If there is no engagement, MVP deletes them as required; if there is one, they are handled from then on under the written contract the two sides sign. You can also ask for deletion at any time.
- Other emails: until the matter you wrote about has been dealt with.
- Technical information from your visits: kept by the hosting provider for as long as its service requires; MVP does not collect or keep it separately.
How does MVP protect it?
MVP protects your information with organizational and technical measures suited to its sensitivity, including:
- applications are submitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS);
- the website does not store applications in a database; each one is sent by email to the small number of people who assess applications;
- only those people can read an application.
No method of transmission or storage over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If personal information is, or may have been, leaked, altered or lost, MVP will take remedial action immediately and notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
What are your rights, and how do you exercise them?
You have the following rights over the personal information MVP holds about you:
- Access and copy: find out whether MVP holds information about you and what it is, and get a copy.
- Correction: have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected or completed.
- Deletion: have your information deleted.
- Withdrawing consent: withdraw your consent to the handling of your information or to its transfer outside mainland China. Withdrawal does not affect handling that took place before it; once you withdraw, MVP can no longer assess your application.
Where the applicable law provides for it, you can also ask MVP to restrict the handling of your information, to transfer it to another organization you name, or to explain this policy.
To exercise a right, email info@mvpdata.net with “Personal information request” in the subject line. To protect your information, MVP may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. MVP will reply within the time required by the applicable law, and if it cannot meet a request, it will explain why.
How can you make a complaint?
If you think MVP has mishandled your personal information, email info@mvpdata.net; MVP will look into it and reply. We suggest contacting us before going to an authority, but you can also complain to the competent authority:
- in mainland China, the cyberspace administration (网信部门) or another department with personal information protection duties;
- in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Can minors apply?
The MVP website and application form are intended for adults, not for anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact MVP. MVP does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14; if it finds that it has done so without a parent’s or guardian’s consent, it will delete the information promptly.
Will this policy change?
Yes, it may. MVP may update this policy as its business or the law changes. It will publish the updated version on this page and change the update date shown here. If the purpose, method or type of information handled changes, MVP will tell you what has changed and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again.

Questions, requests and complaints about this policy or your personal information go to MVP’s privacy officer at info@mvpdata.net. You can also write to: Privacy Officer, Mega Volume Production Inc., 2225 Sheppard Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
